Having honed my craft over the last two decades, I am highly experienced across all stages of the production process; from conception through development, pre-production, production, post-production to completion, delivery and distribution. I possess a strong passion for storytelling and creating audio visual content across all platforms, with a clear understanding of audience, and an ability to combine creativity and strategic thinking to deliver bold, original and engaging content.
My broad range of experience spans film production [drama, documentary] and broadcast TV [scripted, factual], commercials, branded and integrated content; as well as digital, live event, experiential and other media production.
I have created commercial content for major brands including Toyota, State Emergency Services [SES], Kubota, Swann Insurance, Swisse, Coates Hire, Peter Jackson and Harley-Davidson.
As well as commercial content I have also directed and produced music videos for major labels and well known bands including The Belligerents ['Science Fiction'], ALTA ['Figured Out' + 'Now You Want Me'] Vaudeville Smash ['Best Night'], Brothers Grim ['Perpetuating Blues'] as well as many live music events.
My debut narrative feature as Producer was an independently funded film adaptation of Dostoevsky’s masterpiece novel 'Crime and Punishment'... "a wicked tale of murder, sex, love and redemption". The film premiered at the prestigious White Nights Festival in St Petersburg [Russia], the home of White Nights festivals and Dostoevsky’s hometown. It won numerous awards at film festivals around the world including seven best film awards and three acting awards with more nominations and official selections adding to the list. My latest feature, a narrative, titled 'How Do You Know Chris? is currently in post-production.
I have also produced and directed numerous short films that have screened at film festivals both nationally and internationally including Academy Award qualifying festivals.
In 2014, ‘Acts of God’, a short narrative drama, was selected for Melbourne International Film Festival [MIFF] to participate in the prestigious Accelerator program. It premiered Internationally at Warsaw Film Festival where it was nominated for the Short Grand Prix award, represented Australia at the One Country, One Film festival 2014 in France and screened in the USA at the Sedona International Film Festival. It also screened as one of the top 100 Australian short films at the St Kilda Film Festival. 'Long Way Down', another short narrative drama, premiered as an official selection at Montreal World Film Festival in 2016 before screening at over 25 festivals around the World. Short narrative drama, 'Mother’s Day’, premiered at the prestigious Flickerfest in 2014. In 2009, short narrative, ‘Galactic Sex Wars’ took home the award for Best Australian Short Film at the Melbourne Queer Film Festival [MQFF]. Short sci-fi narrative ‘Status’ won the jury prize for Best Science Fiction Short at the Maelstrom IFF 2011 as well as the Best Screenplay award at Dark Carnival Indiana 2011. It screened at 16 international festivals including Fantasia Montreal 2012, Chashama New York 2011 & the Bermuda IFF 2012.
I am a graduate of the renowned Victorian College of the Arts, attaining a Graduate Diploma and Master’s Degree in Film & TV.
